I should add that this is my parent's home and they determine the budget. The reason for the keyless lock is that they want something that autolocks every time you shut the door. There have been incidents locally with burglers coming through unlocked front doors, particularly when residents are out back.

Somthing to keep in mind is lock bumping, if its not medeco or schlage primus, or electric it could be bumped. The more expensive the lock the easier it can be to bump because the pins in the tumbler will move more fluidly. I should know ive done it. Go for medeco or shlage primus

If there is nothing in your house (including your family) that is worth as much as $300 then you can go cheaper. Keyless ones are a convenience that are intended to offer the same security as ones with keys. If you want to keep the price lower you can get ones with keys.

Don't look for something fancy, cheap, and safe because you can only get two out of three in that mix.
