You are allowed to take one "use" calculator and another "back-up" calculator. That is what I did for all of my SAT registrations (I received 1580 and 2300; old and new SATs respectively). I also take backup batteries just in case. However, an important thing you must know: have one calculator on your desk while taking the exam. If that one breaks or malfunctions, raise your hand, and inform the exam proctor that you want to replace batteries or use the backup. After the proctor has checked the calculator for any 'suspicious' memories or notes, he/she will allow you to use it. You will have no problems about cheating if you follow this rule.

Note: if you don't want to waste time during the exam, have both calculators out on your desk, and request the proctor to check both prior to the exam so you don't have to reach underneath for the spare calculator. Also note that the proctors will not allow any electronic device (calculator or otherwise) during the verbal and writing sections.

You can only have one calulator. Why would you need a second calulator anyways
