Do you see the three icons with only lines going from left to right? One of the line sets is centered. Click that. That is horizontally centered. Vertical is in the page alignment. Follow directions here: http://wordprocessing.about.com/od/wordprocessingsoftware/l/blvertalign.htm
Basically, page setup, then layout, then center.

You look toward the middle at the top. It is a box next to left align. Run your mouse over it. To change back from center, click on left align.

You can use the tab key or the spacebar to move the cursor to where you want on the width of the page.
To move to the center on the length, you can use the Enter key or drag the scroll bar.
