You may start (or continue) having Braxton-Hicks contractions, pre-contractions or even real contractions off and on over the next couple of weeks. These help strengthen the muscles and can start to dilate the cervix. You can start to dilate anytime now (hopefully not for at least another week or two though). Your doctor's appts will not change much, just be more often and may include another ultrasound and at some point the doctor will have to do a check of your cervix to see if it is softening. The only way to get rid of the tiredness is to rest; sleeping, napping and just vegging out on the couch will help. You are entering one of the hardest parts of pregnancy/child-rearing, you can do nothing but wait, wonder and worry. Try to do the things that you like to do and won't have time for after birth (video games, books, chatting online etc). Cook some really big meals and freeze the leftovers for the weeks after delivery (it helps to cut them into single-serving size portions that you just have to microwave). If you don't have a real hobby, start one, get into the Harry Potter books, or into Star Wars movies or sewing or something because the waiting drives us all crazy. Have fun and congrats.

Your Dr's appointment will be the same, they really won't check you unless you are experiencing pain or something different from before. It is totally normal for you to be feeling tired right now.
As far as when will you dialate, well that is a tricky question, most women start to dialate when they are in their 38th week, however it really depends on your body. You may go earlier then normal or you may keep the baby longer. My body never wanted to go into labor so I actually had to have 3 c-sections...so you never can tell...just relax because you are coming to the end soon, believe me...get as much sleep as you can now, because the first few weeks you will be so tired after the baby is born and needing to eat every 3 hours...or 2 hours if you nurse.
Good Luck

I started dilating 2 weeks before by due date. Probably on your next appointment a sonogram to see if the baby is positioned for natural birth, and to see if you're dilating already. if you're very active going here and there you 'll dilate faster but if your tired get alot of rest because once the baby is born you wont be getting much sleep. God Bless you and Baby.

just sleep as much as you can. Sleep sleep and more sleep. You will never get to sleep again..so sleep!

Yes, it should be a normal appointment.. they check for dialation and all that and will let you know how you are progressing. Good luck and congrats!
