If World War 3 started today who would be the main threats for the United States, people talk about and say it could be any country from China to Iran or Iraq. There are several other real threats to the U.S. but who would be the biggest?

It will be over oil -
Europe is more dependant on it than North America - at least we produce some of our own Europe does not -
Russia has a billion dollar pipeline from Iran . That is an interest that should not be underestimated
China lives in it's own universe and people in the west seem to have no real understanding of what goes on , on the other side of that bubble - They are becoming a big wig and their need for oil follows the industrialization of possibly billions of people in need to consume the resource
Experts say North Korea could deliver a quick and disastrous blow but it's military is hollow at the core and could not sustain any momentum after the first attack - They have one hell of a punch but that is it for them - (The bumble bee of armies)
Iran is a problem because of oil more so than army but can defend itself well Invasion is not something they could carry off except for right next door - Who they side with/against is the problem
Since they could unite the Arab world and side with Europe over the US a division there may be the unexpected war -
Russia China and Europe against the US for oil with the UK and her colonies fighting along side the US against the European Arab world
Now if that scenario plays out - we are all dead

The war will start if the U.S goes to war with Venezuela, Cuba, or Iran. If Cuba is attacked Chavez will blame the U.S. and try to help Cuba. He will get Iran and other third world countries to involved since he is very influential.
The biggest threat would be Iran.

the biggest would be, today that is, a coalition of all of the countries of the middle east and elsewhere that have a population of muslims that think that it is their job to kill the "infidel," which is you or me, if we are not muslims. anyone that is not muslim is to be killed. of course, these countries have to have enough nuclear warheads to be a main threat. but even one nuclear warhead is a main threat and that is why we are carefully watching what is going on in iran (and its little helper, north korea).
china is not a threat to the united states: china is working hard to trade with us. i think china will become our ally. i also think that once castro and his brother are dead that cuba will ally itself with us too, because cuba was rich when americans found it to be an ideal vacation area, but now it is dirt poor.
EDITED: i don't think that the separate countries of russia are a threat to us or to the world. if under one rule, as when they were part of the soviet union, yes, russia would be a major threat. however, russians, fyi, are in fact building up their nuclear arsenal again, as we speak, as we should be doing to fight to the death for our right to be alive, since the muslims think that we should not even be alive. they are terrible, but highly dedicated and funded, people, and why we let them enter into our country is beyond me (after 911).

We are already in WW3. It started the day the Terrorist flew the planes on 9-11.
The Lunatic Islamics want to bring about death to the Infidels (Everyone not them) and then cause Armageddon. Once they all die for their cause, their "God" will come back and rule the world under Islam. They will then go to "Heaven" and get their 72 virgins.
Wow... be afraid... this is a fight we can not afford to lose. For the sake of man kind!

If there was WWIII it would probably be started by our boy Dubya and the enemy would be the rest of the world. Life as we know it would not last more than a day. After that no living thing will exist on this planet.

Iran who has ties with Russia as Russia is aiding them. No one seems to realize just what kind of power Iran has.
