My board can either support 4GB of DDR2 800mhz PC6400 or, 8GB of DDR2 667/533mhz PC5300/PC4300.

Which is the better buy? I'm mainly gaming on it with Guild Wars, Supreme Commander, and Sims 2

No games/programs can take any benefit from 8gigs of RAM as of yet. Definitely save a few bucks and go with the faster speed ram. The 4GB DDR2 800mhz would probably out perform the 8 gigs of the other.

None of these requires that much memory really. Go with the faster bus speed memory. You may want to look at your graphics card if you are having performance issues. Or look at your internet speed for those types of games. Not really vid intense or processor.

For gaming, go w/ high performance, low latency ddr2 800.

go with the highest in case you update your cpu at a later date but the memory is only going to run as fast as the cpu anyway unless you overclock it
