You have to make sure your friend's cramps are always painful & this isn't a new symptom for her.
I would have her talk to her mom & see if she had similar symptoms & see what helped her, give her some ibuprofen (motrin) for the pain.
In the future tell her to eat a
Nutritious diet, especially food rich in vitamins A, B, C and E, and magnesium and zinc
Balanced diet, low in carbohydrates to maintain healthy weight
Plenty of fluids - water, juices to avoid dehydration
Regular exercises like walking, jogging or swimming
Management of pain at home
Rest in a relaxed manner in well-aerated room in a comfortable position (bending double position usually relaxes the abdomen and thus eases the pain)
Warm drinks which usually clear dizziness and headache
Light diet to manage nausea and abdominal disturbances
Warmth application over the painful area which mostly soothes it.
I would advice her to make an apt. with her doctor to make sure nothing bad is going on with her body.

I am 24 now and I used to have the most horrible cramps. Well.. I still do sometimes. Drink a ton of water (not juice, soda or anything else..WATER) because you have to think.. Your muscles inside are contracting to loosen tissue so it will be shed. If you are hydrated it is a LOT easier.. When you are dehydrated, not even pills will work. Also, stay away from caffiene (sodas, coffee, and some teas), pork, eggs, and EVERYTHING salty. That means don't eat much of anything sold in a package. You really have to read the ingredients of what you eat. If there are ingredients with the word "sodium" stay away till the period is gone. TRUST ME, this will help next period. Also, as unberable as it sounds a slow walk (around town or the mall) will help too... DRINK LOTS OF WATER!! For now take some Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin...). Hope you feel better!!

Heating pads help alot! Mydol only helps to an extent. Try giving her some strong coffee. Sometimes the jolt of caffiene will help temporarily. In the future, she should try raspberry leaf tea and Dong Quai, about a week before her period starts. It helps tone the muscles of the uterus and relieve some of the cramping.

Try Aleve and moist heat for now.

Encourage her to make an appointment with a gynocologist. She may have endometriosis.

You're a good friend to try to help her out.

Hang in there,
~M~

Give her 2 Midol extra strength and have her take a hot bath, it will take the pain away. also a heating pad would work too. if they are too bad, she may want to consider birth control pills, they will lessn the cramps.

It is unfortunate that alcohol is illegal for minors but I mixed Kentucky Bourbon and very hot watter and with honey for my wife and it completely relieved her cramps immediately.

Omg of a teacher would do that to me i would say "keep out of it its none of your buisness" and keep on helping her because shes your friend. I dont think a teacher can tell you what you can and cant do. and if the teacher trys getting you into trouble and says " you better stop or go to the office" or something id be like, fine, the principle and my mother will understand so... dont listen to the teacher nothing bad can happen because of it.
