How can I remove the write-protection which just appeared and wont let me copy or delete anything from my USB flash memory stick??

You may have unintentionally moved the tiny "Write Protect Switch" w/c is usually at the side of the drive. It is labeled number 7 in the 3rd photo here:

Some memory sticks have a small switch on the back or side, if not then maybe you got a used USB memory stick that is protected, buy a new stick.....

make sure you don't have the drive locked. There may be a little switch on your drive with a padlock icon.
