I respect Americans but my problem is that certain places I go in the US whether it is in a city or suburban place, I'm met with comments such as "oh they come here and think their American." "oh I hate those people, I swear I see them in my town again I'll kill them." "That's not right that, Indian man is wearing brand names." This is a small sample but I faced harsher words. I know not all Americans are like this, like one time in Ohio I my car lost control but a kind family stayed behind two hours to help me out. I thank them with all my heart, now back to my question. I'm mixed Malaysian and Arab, but I have some East Indian features. I've lived in Britain, Saudi Arabia and Canada. To be specific these comments were made in (Chicago, IL) (Portage, IN) and some unknown place in Ohio.

Once again I want to remind people here I don't hate people in those places but I'm faced with harsh comments. I don't know if its because I'm brown skinned or if I look like I'm from India. I was nice to them but in return I got strange looks.

Hey, I'm American and I get comments all the time. I'm a Christian and we chrisitians are targeted as weirdos. Just focus on what is important. With billions of people in the world of all educational backgrounds, etc., a few comments here and there should only make you more determined to be a good person and not make comments about others. Good Luck. P.S. Live life, don't fret over it.

They have had problems with immigrants, can't exactly blame them for being edgy. Also the 9/11 tragedy pretty much makes them see Middle Eastern-ish people with a jaundiced eyes. Not all American are like that, as you say but you should understand why. They're not having such a great period now, their country is constantly under criticism in many ways. It must be exhausting for them.

Also, I seem to gather, not a lot of people American or otherwise, like Indian people so much. Indian seems to come under the negative radar. Perhaps that should be the next question?

You already stated that it is a small sample of people. Since people in America come from all walks of life, different beliefs, different cultures, different family styles, etc, you are going to run into every thing from people that hate you, to people who love you no matter what race, color, religious background you are.

Although you may be hearing those types of things, keep in mind that caucasion people such as myself, hear things like that from other races, so it's not just you.

Everyone has developed some type of opinions about different races, one way or another, and some people tend to be more verbal than others about how they feel about certain things. It's just the nature of people.

Sir you've got to understand that everyone in the US faces those kind of comments. Some people don't know any better than to critize and put down other races. I give you a pat on the back for not hating those people, but if we all can stop our part of prejudice and injustice then the world can be a better place.

nicely i assume this is b/c in this usa (no longer asserting somewhat everyone seems to be like this in spite of the undeniable fact that this is basic), ppl are no longer as open approximately intercourse/sexuality. There a many colleges who have not got a complete intercourse ed type in heath, they choose for the 'abstinence' technique of coaching intercourse ed. young toddlers do no longer want their father and mom to understand that they are thinking approximately or having intercourse actively so that they are no longer nicely knowledgeable approximately 'how a woman gets pregnant' or a thank you to apply categories of beginning administration properly. this leads to a very good kind of minor being pregnant. that distinctive practice has been linked with a decline in teen being pregnant in this usa regardless of the undeniable fact that, in spite of the undeniable fact that it is not hassle-free to tell if it incredibly is a causal relationship, basically that a contemporary decline in teen being pregnant is correlated with the onslaught of the attractiveness of that practice.

Most Americans realize that we're a nation entirely of immigrants.

Your experience is regrettable, but immigrates face a lot more discrimination in Europe.
