The real stuff or the unimportant? The unimportant: I was on a billboard in Minneapolis in the early 80s advertising a line of hosiery, with an afghan hound, a Mercedes convertible and a pair of extremely expensive shoes...which the dog ruined. I also was a feature model in the company's catalog that year.
The real stuff: for 5 minutes every morning, my cat adores me, as I'm dishing up his canned food. I'll take that any day over "aren't you the lady advertising ****** over on Lake Street?"

I was on the news when I started college, because we had had a fire at our school and they wanted to interview incoming freshmen about how it made them feel. I'm on the news saying that I really didn't care, because the problem was solved.
Before that, I made the front page of the newspaper when I was 13, because I wrote a letter to my grandmother that was apparently quite impressive. They felt as though the letter was very profound for a young teenager to write. I'd written her a letter after the death of my uncle (her only son) to console her.
So, those two things combined equal my 15 minutes of fame.

I was in a school Law competition which involved the kids role playing various parts in a court case and made it to the national finals held in a crown court in London. TV News programme came to film the event and the clip they used on London Tonight was me standing in the witness box taking the oath... more like 15 seconds really!

A couple of years ago I was elected the first female Pope but after fifteen minutes I thought, "No, this job should really go to a Catholic..." You mean you didn't hear about it?

Being recognized at the statehouse. Standing up in the Senate chamber and being honored was so wonderful.
