She's a size 8-10 and her own MOTHER is telling her she can't get a man? I don't know about in Australia, but in the USA that is supposed to be the normal size of someone.
8/10 is in no means big. It is usually a normal, healthy weight for someone.
If your cousin kicked her husband out, he was supposedly a jerk who deserved it, so all the power to her! And she CAN find someone better, because she is not the status of a hippo and someone needs to tell your Aunt that!
Am I myself obsessed with weight? Nope. I'm trying to diet, but that's only because I have unhealthy eating habits. I am a normal, healthy sized weight.
No one should strive to look anorexic.

Umm DP3 said 'if', not name calling. And we are weight obsessed perhaps because the standereds are set by models, they are called 'beautifall' and all that so we find that attractive. Men have always been attracted to the look that is set as a high standered, like bigger women would have been found more attractive in the past. I don't really understand, I find the super thin models ugly. So this is just a guess.

My God, it's been over 15 years since I've been an 8 and that's when I was a teenager! I'm a 14 (US) now and my husband loves me just the way that I am too. I think your aunt is the obsessed one. Sorry to say, but that's also a cruel thing to say at such a stressful time in your cousin's life.

me obsessed? HELL YEAH
ever since i was around 17 ive been on some diet and i only weighed 60kg then, i wish i was 60kg now,
my hubby loves me the way i am {OF COURSE HE BETTER} but im still not happy like this, every kid i have i get heavier and now its time for me to really stick to a diet cos if i aint havin any more kids then i better get my old body back, i find it so hard to stay motivated, FOOD is my weakness, i love it
ive got 3 slim sisters and they and my mum are always on my back, they make out im the blob, i really dont look huge, but they think i should look like them, they piss me off sometimes, and even my sarcastic brotherinlaw calls me treestumps,
the reason i lack motivation is that im so happy with my wonderful hubby and 4 beautiful kids, im comftable with myself, but i wanna look and feel good at the same time, its a real struggle, but im always workin on it
ill keep u posted if i start to lose weight, thanks

That's silly. Lots of men like curvier girls. I am chubby and also married with two little ones. It's all in how you carry yourself. I still get hit on by guys because I know no matter what my weight I am sexy because of who I am. When you think that about yourself others think that too
