You can go by the classic method and choose a virtue you want the child to have, and then search in a name database for a name that has that origin.
Choose a name you would be proud to have your child identified as, and one your child would not suffer for. Old family names are popular, such as the name of someone in your family you admire/respect that is of same gender, even for a middle name.
I am partial to the German name Franziska (Frahn-zee-skah) for a girl and the name Peter for a boy (old family name). What I like about Peter is it translates over so many languages, e.g. Piotr in Russia, Peitro in German, Pedro in Spanish, Pierre in French.

Samantha Christine!! That way as she gets older she can go by Samantha, Sam, Sammy, Mandy, Christine, Chrissy, or Chris!! :) She has TONS of options for "nicknames!"
That is what I was GOING to name my daughter but it just didnt "fit" her so instead she wound up with the name Marya Catherine (after my mother Mary and my grandma Cathie). LOL
As far as a boy.. I LOVE the name Tyler Christian! :) Just suggesstions though... its really up to YOU!! And sometimes its nice to wait until you SEE your baby and the name just COMES to you. Like my mom was going to name me Miranda and the night BEFORE she had me she had a dream where HER grandmother kept saying "Katerine, Katerine (which is how she pronounced Catherine in Slovak).. so I wound up with Katrina ... which by the way was a WONDERFUL name until that damn hurricaine!! LOL
Good luck and HAVE FUN choosing a name!! (Its one of the best things about having a baby!!)
Heres a great website too w/ TONS of ideas for names:
http://www.babynamesworld.com/
And HERE is a REALLY FUNNY website w/ names that are just WRONG that people have named thier children... its good for a laugh:
