You might try Arthritis Strength Tylenol. 650mgs does wonders for pain such as you describe.
You might want to consider stretching exercises also. A great relief for pain.

Do NOT give ANY OTC pain meds!! Tylenol, Advil, Aleve, motrin are all very toxic to dogs. You can't give aspirin since you haven't been given the go ahead from your dogs vet and aspirin should never be given with in a specified time frame after giving certain prescription pain meds..it can cause serious even fatal reactions. If you don't hear from your vet then call an emergency vet.

ibuprofen is the best. It says to take 200-400 mg, but you can safely take 800 mg at a time for extreme pain. That's what I was prescribed for pain, Ibuprofen 800 strength.

My personal choice for pain is Motrin. They come in two hundred milligram pills. Follow the directions and don't exceed the dosage limits.

motrin works the best for me with cramps. same as ibuprophen i think. or you can get migraine strength advil gel caps.
