Brett Favre. A franchise NEEDS a good quarterback. Runner-ups are, Lawrence Taylor (who cares how good your offense is, if the defense gives up 40 points a game?). Jerry Rice (the only receiver ever I would consider taking because receivers just don't touch the ball enough every game. But Rice is special and can make many QBs look good.), Willie Roaf (all offenses need a good line, or they will get no where. See: last year's Oakland Raiders.), and Emmitt Smith (a strong running game is almost as importnat as a good passing game, and who better to help your run game than the NFL's all time leading rusher?)

on offense,if iwas biulding an offensive juggernaut it would have to be rice. i mean just look at what that guy did,he is amazing and a sure bet hall-of-famer. if i was going defense and buillding a belickeck-like defense, with good but not amazing corners and just sweet athletes as LB and DL, i would have to take the original LT-lawrence taylor. he was the most punishing LB/DE back when he played and was one of the most fearless players at that. he wasnt afraid to take penalties and had that killer instinct that every team needs.

I say either Tomlinson or Jim Kelly. Not only they are great players, they are also great leaders.
