I am sorry that Sri Lankan are struggling and the required Run per Over is now over 12 and it seems that Sri Lanka is heading for defeat.
It was 190-6 a while ago after 31 Overs, but the SL are fighting tooth & nail. Let us see what the margin on SL defeat is!
Btw, Australian are going to take ‘revenge’ of their defeat in the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 1996 at Lahore, which Sri Lanka won by 7 wickets.

Australia beat Sri Lanka by 53 runs (D/L Method) in the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.

Well I agree that Aussies are a hard nut to crack, but just as it happened to the other best teams of the past, they might have also reached their pinnacle and may be the final of the world cup against SL is the starting point of their downfal, but that is yet to be seen. WI team was also on top when India beat them in the final of 1983 world cup. If this not happened in this final than there is no stopping for the Aussies till at least next world cup.

yes. they would be put to the sword by Hayden early on.then Ponting will come.if u see his record in world cup 2007, he's been runout 3 or4 times,so no way he will let the Sri lanka bowlers attack him.on the bowlers hand, tait and mcgrath are in top form. So, the Srilankans would be thrashed by the Australians like Pakistan and India.

Chances are bright that Lanka will lose, maybe without a thrashing though. Their batsmen weren't able to tackle the Aussie bowlers in Super 8. Performances won't improve in a few days.

That's a good question. And ur theory has been proven right-Sri Lanka have lost.I wouldn't say that they were thrashed but yes-three sub-continental teams losing to the same opponents .Lets just hope that the trnd reverses next time.

Of course the australians are very good & mostly the cup will go to them. But it would be nice if there was a change & we have new champions...
