I have no respect for a politician who votes his parties line 100% of the time. They should cross over and work with members of the other party. That's their job, to find solutions to the issues facing this country. Neither party can claim to have all of the answers.

Disloyaty must be meted to a congressman who crosses partisan lines because it is against the provisions of their party constitution and by laws.

If they do it because it is the right thing to do, more power to them. The party might not like it and make things difficult for the person, but everyone has a conscience. Do the right thing for your constituents and your country!

Nothing really. It happens all the time. Their own party might not work as hard to support them sometimes, but that's about it.
