Most trucks have seperate fuses for trailer lights. Check your owners manual for their location.

First of all what lights are not working. On all imports and alot of domestics tail, stop, and turn signal lights are separate and most all trailers combine the turn and brake lights so a converter is needed to run the trailer lights. If your vehicle is equipped with the converter (trailer tow package) and the lights don't work than it may have failed and needs replaced. Also check to see if the plug on your vehicle has ground, with out ground no lights will work and you don't always get good ground through the hitch ball. A blown fuse can also be the problem and newer vehicles generally have a box under the hood where you'll find trailer fuses and not in the in cab fuse box . Use a multi meter, it can check everything including ground with ohm's.

2000 pathfinder does have tail light and brake light fuses. However a small 12 volt test light is needed now to check the trucks trailer plug for brake and stop lamp and trunsignals and running lights. If no good then check all the fuses not just the ones marked tail and brake lights... Most of the time it is the bulbs or wires on the trailer.

Agree, probable a floor challenge. with the aid of fact the trailer works properly on different autos, YOUR wiring is the challenge. no longer annoying to diagnose, yet it somewhat is a reason that buying adapter harnesses that are already under pressure out properly, and easily hook up with the triumphing wiring without slicing/splicing/etc are favored.
