How I can play a movie in my pc without installing any media player?

Its in office only wmplayer is allowed there, and the format is in 'dat' . any one have solution please help me

WM Player surely can play .dat file
Or you might need to install K-Lite Mega Codec Pack (www.filehippo.com)

It sounds like you are trying to play a VCD. Windows Media Player (WMP). I have used both WMP version 9 and 10 successfully. Do you know which version you are using? If it is an older version, consider updating to version 10 or the latest version 11. The download link is (http://www.filehippo.com/download_windows_media_player/)
