The media, police officials and "experts" seem to agree that Cho was crazy, and his rant is nonsensical and random.

There is an increase in alienation that is part of our consumer oriented culture driven by a greedy media. The mass murders have root causes in a loss of "spirituality" in a not religious sense.

Some claim VT was a black ops CIA program, but I'm inclined to believe that it was similar to findings form the Columbine High School massacre.

The reality of social cliques in high schools was a frequent topic of discussion. Many argued that the pair's isolation from the rest of their classmates prompted feelings of helplessness, insecurity and depression, as well as a strong desire for attention. Some schools also began programs to expose and stop school bullying, which many charged had fueled anger and resentment within Harris and Klebold.(Students tell of bullying at Columbine High . One thing I learned was that a lone terrorist could shoot two people, the cops could arrive at the scene and recover the bodies, put out a city wide emergency alert and arrive in droves for an hour and a half then pace around presumably setting up a contingency plan for 9 minutes while they listened to a terrorist fire 170 shots executing 32 and wounding scores.
In short Home Land Security is a pile of -----papers------- and that’s putting it mildly.
Imagine yourself with extensive military/police training (SWAT) wondering around in full body armor with automatic weapons and extensive back up for 8 –9 minutes listening to a terrorist execute students with 170 methodical rounds , knowing exactly where the shots were coming from, and NOT rushing directly to the source and confronting the shooter. Amazing.

Columbine happened six years ago. We didn't learn enough from that to prevent VT, and I doubt we will learn enough from VT to prevent the next one.

The truth is that at least this many people die every day from gunshot wounds. The only thing that made VT different is that they all happened in one place at one time. We haven't learned anything from that over the years.

But you can't put the genie back in the bottle. Too many guns are already on the open market. It would be impossible to take them back, even if we wanted to.

Nothing will change until humans understand that when they hurt someone else, they hurt themselves.

What happen was horrible, but the world is not perfect and no matter waht changes in the outcome of what happen. It could still happen again. People are unpredictable and no one knows day to day what will happen. we just have to be thankful for what we have day by day and learn from the past to try and make things better

Yes there is a lesson from VT massacre.
That we, as Americans, have always to view into our heart and soul to see what is still missing in there.

The truth can be read at this site: www.worldnetdaily.com and if you don't feel up to clicking the link, then do some research pertaining to anti-depressant drugs such as prozac and paxil... of which are being linked to nearly all of these violent acts...

Maybe schools will pay closer attention to the students that seem to be loners who refuse or who can't seem to get involved with anything or anyone.

We screen people for employment....students should also be screened.

Yes there is a lesson that some of us will learn. But to some of us we don't care. It's really annoying when people don;t learn lessons out of things. But, those people will finally learn it, if they're one of them, who actually experienced it.
