Do you not find their arguments supporting the position specious at best?

We elect people to do the right thing based on a set of rules, the constitution. Bush is doing exactly what he was hired to do.

For those that say the people spoke, you should have spoken when Bush was last elected, and you can speak again at the next election, until then it is HIS job to do. I find it an admirable quality that despite an intense pressure from the SOCIALIST minority that Bush stands fast in his duties.

I get a good laugh when socialists use the phrase "all americans". They do not speak for me. They seem to want rulers to change policy daily based on polls, or maybe better we just have daily elections for what we want them to do today. My guess is if many socialist issues were put to a general vote rather than through congress, the defeat would be resounding.

All Americans reject SOCIALISM? Hows that one sit comrade?

The left feels that the results of losing the war will be a rewarding experience like it was after Viet Nam and the left gained control of congress for well over a decade so losing the war is a well liked idea because the consequences seem so favorable.
The consequences are not so favorable from my point of view. The differences are different, as Islam is a large gang of terrorist and will gladly bring bombs and Jihad to America with things such as Nuclear bombs and Germ warfare without any resistance. France is about to fall to Islam and Spain is already conquered and Europe with it's liberal ideology will soon submit to Islam and the Democrats in America are willing to risk our defeat in exchange for some political advantage.

I am in total agreement with you. To those arguements I would say.

1.) I can't say we actually " elected " bush. 2000 was stolen.
2.) We hired him to lie to the world and invade under false
pretenses. 3.) I DID speak: TWICE in the presidential elections and in the mid term
elections. . - but again I know for sure 2000 was a stolen election, and 2004 PROBABLY was too. 4.) This " socialist minority" comprises 57% of the American people. 5.) I would NEVER presume to speak for them . 6.) Maybe we should NOT reject socialism if more Bushs are the only alternative. I suggest they read up on some history with a more open mind. Bush's war supporters remind me of what I know about the Nativists and Know-Nothings of the 1850s.

The War of Terror on Iraq was lost a few years ago with the premature elections which Shiite Fundamentalists allied to Iran won. That was a huge mistake. There will be no "victory" now. There will only be more American bleeding to save face for Bush and Bushies or we can cut our losses. Why try to "finish" a mistake that cannot be corrected?

He was hired to protect this nation. this does not include pre-emptively attacking countries that did not plan, fund, or supply people for the attack on us.
Our system has 3 branches of government which had built in checks and balances. This is why they were referred to as "separate yet equal branches of government"
His job was not to have his hangers on fiddle with parts of the Consitution to suit his purposes such as the change in the Military Commissions Act of 2006 which suspends Habaeus Corpus which in a direct violation of Article 1 Section 9 of the US Constitution. Contrary to what "the deluded" in this place believe, it is NOT aimed at foreigners, it is aimed at US citizens, who can be picked up thrown in jail, have NO access to a lawyer, can be accused with absolutely no evidence and you have no way of proving you are innocent. Last week, a dramatic series portrayed the Patriot Act for all to see. They did not embellish it, they showed EXACTLY what can happen to a US citizen who did absolutely nothing wrong.
He talks about vetoing a bill that wants accountability of the way he has spent our money in this pre-emptive attack on Iraq. This is why the bill is the Iraq Accountability bill". You know a company you can work for that does not ask for you to be accountable to the boss? If you know that company let me know, I'll go work there. I won't have to tell the boss what I did with his money, or why I am not doing what he wanted.
Demanding a change in course is not based on polling or based on "socialism". It is based on common sense. All the specious arguments that were used to go to war there, have blown up in their faces.
Complaining about WMD? Where are they? Then about UN Security Council violations? Not good enough. Our good friend Israel has violated 27 resolutions since 1968.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. This is the "stay the course" which they no longer call it but the "surge" is the same thing.
All our troops are doing is playing "Whack a Mole". They squeeze parts of Sadr City, the militia and insurgents pop up somewhere else.
We cannot solve a conflict that has been taking place since 632 A.D. So logic would tell you, that if they have been fighting this long, why does this Administration think that staying there will solve it.? They will outwait us. So if we stay, 5,10,15 years longer, they will wait until then. So why should we still continue to allow our soldiers to die in a "civil" war? We should not.
They have no hope in hell over ever standing up for us to stand down UNLESS we light a fire under their collective a*ses and set deadlines and benchmarks they MUST meet. Enough already! Al Maliki stopped the US troops from going after Al Sadr's militia, the Iraq govt has done absolutely nothing on oil revenue sharing, planning June provincial elections, political reconciliation, militia control, full army control. All they do is sit on their butts while our soldiers continue to take the hits. If they don' t want to make progress, screw 'em le'ts leave and let them sort it out. It worked in Vietnam.
Sure there was chaos for a few years but they damn well figured it out and ethnic Cambodians live in Vietnam as well as the Vietnamese.
BTW Socialism is defined as a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.
Yeah and some of those who love to howl are some of the same who when they fall flat on their a*s are the first yelling for "where's the government" after some disaster.

What should you do when you have half-cut your own leg off, past the point of repair, or reconnection? Should you leave it hanging by a ligament, with the possibility of gangrene setting in, or should you cut right through, knowing it is better to limp home still alive? Stupid mother ffs Americans.

I am leaving for Iraq next month with my unit. Personally I don't think people should whine or ***** too much until they have seen exactly what is going on over there. It's really easy to judge politics when you are sitting at home in front of the television sipping on a cold one.
