My tank keeps going brown around the sides of the glass and on the plants etc, what is making it go brown because a do a 25% water change every week and clean it

There is a nutrient in your tank that is feeding the algae,it may be in the replacement water,or in the food that you feed. Quite possibly it is an abundance of phosphates. If this is the case,there are phosphate pads that will easily remove the substance after a few days.Try Drs. Foster and Smith or one of the other web stores,I doubt that one of the big box petstores would carry it.-----Good luck.----PeeTee

There is a brown algae bloom in your tank.Buy a filter!!And if you want,you can buy some siamese algae eaters to swipe your algae off the glass.

its algae you should get a filter or an algae eater both you can find at pets mart!

umm i have fish and it is there dodo so you have to clean the fish tank or they will die!
