Many times Americans will rate, or berate, the president because of how he addresses an issue or two. HIs whole career is graded on the way he treats certain critical issues that touch us directly.
It is important for all presidents to represent the people of the U.S. as a compassionate leader who is brave and a good businessman. Lincoln, Washington, either Roosevelt would be the obvious choices for strongest leaders who have shown compassion. But in modern times, we have just a little to be proud of in America.
We can thank Clinton for he could point to the lowest unemployment rate in modern times, the lowest inflation in 30 years, the highest home ownership in the country's history, dropping crime rates in many places, and reduced welfare rolls. He proposed the first balanced budget in decades and achieved a budget surplus.
We can thank George Sr. for giving the U.S. a strong image that cannot be compromised. And we can go back to Kennedy, who gave us hope and pride for our country that would get us up from our seats and help others (Peace Corps, President's Fitness Programs, H.O.P.E. etc.).
Sadly, we have a few presidents who have cost us money, jobs, lives and honor wihtout remorse. These are the most important issues to many Americans and the very reasons that foreign visitors strive for American citizenship. In the past six years, can we put our finger on any victory within this group of issues? Rather than point a finger on who is the worst president or who is worse than Bush, I am sure that any American (even those who voted for Bush) can safely admit that he has not lived up to the honor of an Abraham Lincoln or a Franklin Roosevelt.
Worse than Bush? I can't imagine....

Bush will go down as one of the worst Presidents the US has ever had. He could probably change that legacy if he would end the war in Iraq, but it doesn't look like he's going to do that. As history goes, you're not going to find a President who will rank much lower than Bush.

"Well, my daddy was a one termer, so that's gotta count for somethin'
"People don't mess with me! Everybody done scared the peanuts outta Jimmy, and that's gotta mean somethin'
"Now who else was president?"
Honestly, there are a great deal of Americans who love Bush. He had absolutely no trouble mowing down Kerry to get a second term. The bottom line is that Bush supporters feel safe and buy into whatever he says without question.
Personally, I feel Bush and his people have not done things to make America and the world a better place. And considering how dangerous the world has become, I fear the political scene more than ever. Is it just Bush? I don't know.

Warren G. Harding will usually always be considered one of the worst presidents. His years in office were spent funding illegal activities. He slept with multiple women when he traveled across the U.S. He also ignored the economy so by the time Calvin Coolidge and Herbert Hoover took office, we fell into the Great Depression. In fact, he died of a stroke in the back of his presidential train car and his mistress came out half naked to tell other government officials that he died.
As for the ranking for better presidents than Bush there will always be certain presidents that stand out for serving successful terms.

Better: Ronald Reagan.
Worse: Jimmy Carter.
These are the best and worst presidents of the 20th century. Bush is solidly in the middle rankings right now, and will rise or fall in the eyes of future history, based on how things in Iraq turn out.
His economic policies have been great (tax revenues this year have been the highest EVER), but he's been weak in dealing with Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran and North Korea. He's also done nothing about the problem of illegal immigration, And he's created a new, bloated, mostly ineffective Federal behemoth called the Department of Homeland Security.
Bush has no hope of ever being a "great" president, but he's certainly not the worst, either.

Good Morning Lindsey...Well..as for me, I'm a faithful democrat. I have been watching the news and the ague-debates from all sides of the presidential race. Right now I feel that Hillary is the best runner up. I like her views and her ideals on handling issues at the Big WH. Obama has his views and ideals but I feel at this time he's just to new in this area to where maybe in the next presidential race he might be more knowledgeable. As for the Republicans...lol..no thank you! Since this current one in office, I don't think I will ever believe in another Republican. Have a great day!
