Harold Shipman Wife

You've changed your tune.. about half hour ago you were claiming that she did know.

I can only assume you never actually saw the TV interview Shipman did before he was finally arrested and either haven't read or don't believe the conclusions reached the by the psychiatrists that he was, basically, a control freak?

He was a confident, plausible, outwardly respectable, man who had been a doctor (possibly the most trusted profession anywhere) for many years.

I doubt she suspected a thing but, even if she did, he was the type who would have a plausible explanation to hand. Why do you think the investigation went on for so long before he was finally arrested? My thoughts are that you didn't know that and actually know very little about the case at all.

Can anyone tell ME how Harold Shipman murdered 200 hundred people without anyone in the NHS, GMC or local community knowing?

he did his murders through his practice, in turn, she would not have known. also bear in mind that some relationship, you never question your husband. i don't know if this was the case. along with the insurance policies, they believed that he had stolen jewelry from patients also, which he gave to his wife. if she was kept happy, then there would be no reason to question her spouse. the world sees him as a monster, she saw him as her loving husband and father to their children.

He was a GP visiting patients in their homes, very easy to do and no witnesses. Who knows what their partner gets up to when they are working?
