Going dutch! Do you think it is a good idea? Why should men have to pay all the time?

Dutch is good I don't mind then I order what I really like. I am sure a man appreciates a woman that goes Dutch occasionally, think about it he pays all the time, and for all the dates he may take out, no I think its a hardship and Dutch is good....I use to pay when I went out with my husband and he would smile big, yes I had my own money, he enjoyed it and would kid me the rest of the evening, best meal he ever ate etc etc...it was a fun time...Good for you, shows me your not just a taker but a giver also, very refreshing....

I think going dutch is a good idea sometimes, but its also nice to be treated and also nice to treat the guy every once in a while.

No, they should not. I do believe men and women play different roles in a relationship, and I certainly don't condone a woman being a man's sugar mama. I, however, do not believe men should pay for every date. Even if he can afford it. Especially if he can't. You should invite him out sometimes, and foot the bill. Men appreciate the reciprocation, and find it endearing.

if it's a date, and the bloke asked - then he pays. if it's a social event, Dutch is OK if it's understood beforehand.

I agree. Guys shouldn't have to pay all the time...but try telling that to my roommate lol. She is so stuck in the traditionalist times and it makes me sick sometimes.

its nice to be treated lol but yeah i c ur point me and my boyfriend nearly always go dutch, sometimes i treat him n sometimes he treat me, moneys not a problem with us we share

IT IS ALL TO DO WITH OUR STRUGGLE TO ACCEPT EQUALITY!
we used to be the bread winner, and for some it will be hard to give that up.
