you need to graduate high school
then you do a bachelor's degree (4 years)
then you go to vet school (4 years) and earn a DVM

a phd is a research degree

You need a DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine), which is the equivalent of an MD, not a Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy).

i think a vet needs something like 4 more years than a docter but im not sure
