There is little variation in the data sheets for all combined oral contraceptives. They all list changes in libido, which means sex drive can go up or down.

Individuals behave differently and therefore unfortunately another girls experience of a pill may well not be mirrored by its affects on you.

Your only option is trial and error. If you go for this option, take a careful note of both the oestrogen and the progesterone in each pill you use to avoid duplication.

From having talked to some women who have been on the pill yes the pill can lower one's sex drive. As for which pill would be best for not having the effect you would have to discuss that at length with your dr because they will have a better idea based on your overall health history although I must say all birth control pills have the potential to cause a reduction in sex drive.

I can't say about the weight gain or pill change but if you want to increase your sex drive you can try horny goat weed you can find it at places like GNC or health food stores.

I take microgynon 30 - and i find my sex drive as normal and as good as ever!!! If you are taking any anti-depressants, this can reduce your sex drive. Good luck!"
