I have never taken Mycocyst for a yeast infection when it comes to pills. The only one I've ever been on is Diflucan and yes I found that it was helpful to me in clearing up the infection. I only had to take one pill that was supposed to work the entire 7 days.

Nystatin oral tablets are taken by mouth. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Take your doses at regular intervals. Finish the full course prescribed by your prescriber or health care professional even if you think your condition is better. Do not stop taking except on your prescriber's advice. Tell your prescriber or health care professional if your symptoms do not improve after 3 days. Some fungal infections can take a long time to clear completely so finish your prescribed course.

Yes, they are for a different form of infection, more than likely bacterial. And they do work as long as you take them as prescribed. They are just like antibiotics, you have to take the entire course of the prescription.

They only work if you continue the medication as directed! Even if you are feeling better 1/2 way through, still take them otherwise your infection could become resistant.

yes and diflucan is the only thing i've ever taken cause it's worked every time, they have those azo yeast tablets you can get at like CVS or any pharmacy but I tried them once cause I couldn't make it to the doctor right away and they didn't work then I went to the doctor and got diflucan right away.
