It probably also has alot to do with your skin being dry, I would just mosturize the **** out of ur self every time you get out of the shower & also during random times during they day it will help the stretch marks you have fade and reduce you getting anymore. I would use Baby oil when you get out of the shower & Coco butter lotion during the day

I'm not a doctor, but rather a medical first responder. First, let's address the increase in weight. There could be several factors...

First, of course, it could be diet. If this is so, then of course the diet habits need to be changed.

Secondly, it could be thyroid. Have you had this checked? This could be a factor in rapid weight gain.

Next......are you on birth control pills? Hormones can definitely cause a rapid increase in weight, as well as increased body fat around the belly, etc.

If none of the above, then perhaps you need to definitely see a doctor and find the cause.

Ok, stretch marks. With the increase in size, you are going to get stretch marks. Just as a pregnant woman would in the belly area. Many women use cocoa butter based products to soften the skin and thus reducing the stretch marks.

My best suggestion to you is, find out the source of the weight gain, and then you can address the stretch mark issue. Right now, you're beating the grass, and not the snake.

Thats what happens when you do not eat the correct foods, and also do not drink enough water. Sometimes when we think we are hungry we just need to drink water.
Just about a half hour before your meal time drink a big glass of water and you will not eat so much. You also need to eat lots of veggies, preferrably raw or still crunchy when cooked. Do not eat junk for breakfast. Eat a good breakfast, like Oatmeal Porridge, you need the fiber as well as have a good solid breakfast to start your day. Eat smaller meals and get off the starches, and carbs like bread, pastas, white rice, white potatoes, all sugars, natural and substitutes. The stretch marks will diminish in time if you follow a good eating regeme and make sure to drink half you body weight in ounces of water a day. I would be more concerned about the weight then the stretch marks for health reasons, not looks.

There is a common misconception that stretch marks are actually caused by the skin "stretching."

This is not the case- stretch marks are actually caused by hormones. (My friend is very thin and complains about having them on her legs.) This release of hormones is normal in adolescents and in pregnant women. They normally fade after some time- and are completely normal.

However, if you haven't been eating differently and have still gained 40 pounds, I may worry that you have a hormonal imbalance. Talk to your doctor.

There are some products for pregnant women's stretchmarks, perhaps they could help you, as well. They never used to have anything for them. Do control your eating so you don't gain any more, and take lots of walks. Two websites where you can get reliable information are Real Age.com and Prevention.com. There are lots more, but those I can speak for myself.

You need to see a doctor to figure out why you're gaining weight so fast. That's about a pound a week, which would mean you're eating at least 500 extra calories a day. You may have something wrong and should definitely check it out.

You may not have enough elasticity in your skin. Some preg women will get stretch marks and some will not. I got very few but my friend got them in the same places as you.

See a doctor...soon...you may have something wrong with your liver or kidneys...check you ankles for swelling, if they seem pudgier and you can make an indentation on them with your finger tip...definitley go to see a doctor more sooner than later...don't play games with your life. Sincerely...good luck, friend
