Yes. But they can also be meaner at the same time. Beautiful woman are likely to be looked at as "ditzy" and are made fun of. But overweight or gawky people are made fun of too with "fat" jokes and "ugly" jokes. But yes, I think the world is usually nicer to beautiful people. Think about it, when's the last time you saw a 300 pound, 70 year old on the cover of a magazine? Even if that person had acheived extreme success they wouldnt put that person on the cover of a magazine. They might feature the person in the magazine but not on the cover. Why? Because if you put a beautiful person on a magazine, its more likely to sell. That right there shows you that people like beautiful people more than "ugly" people.

When I was in midde school I was slightly overweight and very unpopular. The popular kids made fun of me and my unpopular friends. But I lost tons of weight in high school and looked really good. All of a sudden I was good enough for the same kids who had picked on me to talk to. I stuck with my old friends. They liked me before i changed and after. I dont want to be friends with people that are just gonna drop you if you gain weight or something. My friends could care less if I shaved my head, gained 100 pounds, or wore makeup like Mimi from the Drew Carey show. They like me for who I am, and that feels good.

Yes in a superfical way, many want to be liked by them, they seem more confident and compelling. They are more likely to be hired.

But deep down they have the same insecurities as many others, they just know how to hide it better. Maybe more so cuz other look up to them so they have to keep and create this image. Plus wonder if they really are liked.

I think many people don't really like them if they are envious or jealous. Many might feel awkward around them and/or think their spouse is eyeing them.

So nicer well it depends on many factors, personally I like being liked for who I am, I like relating to people on a deeper emotional level.

not always, I know the worlds nice to unattractive people too, if they are birds of a feather.
I can name some famous beautiful people that not nice things have happened to.
During the holocaust, there were beautiful people that were persecuted...
We had several beautiful people die during September 11, 2001. The ones who orchestrated the attack on US are part of the "world," too. So, no. And frankly that's insensitive that some people boast they are so uppity.

To be quite honest, I'd never really thought about it that way!! No, I don't. Jus cos somebody is lovely to look at does not guarantee that they will be surrounded by great friends and wonderfull life opportunities!! I think that people are nice to other people based on the particular person .......... you know, you either like em or you don't!! There will of course always be the belligerent and quarrellsome people who are just rude to everybody!! ........... :0)

People tend to be nicer to beautiful looking people ..... same goes for the fair and dark skinned people too !!!!!
