Yes, these events should be taught in History classes, and I think Military History should be taught in schools outside of West Point too. I am not going to list all of them, rather give you one that no one has given you yet.
The Philippine War 1899-1902
"Philippine military deaths are estimated at 20,000 while civilian deaths numbered 250,000 to 1,000,000 Filipinos.
Many American officers and soldiers called the war a "ngiger killing business."

First of all not every question can be answered with the Bible. I would say the Native Americans (which i believe was the worst), slavery, the recent events concerning torture, Abu Garhib, the propping up of third world military juntas, our part in the Iran-Iraq war (in which i've seen the video of Rumsfeld shaking Saddam's hand) Japanese intenment, Vietnam, Haditha.
I think that despite these atrocities America can find it's way back. We have the power for greatness in us and it's just up to ourselves to bring it out again.

Slavery was not exclusive to the USA. Read the Bible. And it is still going on today Except it is called Human Trafficking. And, very profitable.
And, no, they are not taught thoroughly in the schools. Although, the Underground Railroad is.
Everybody makes mistakes, so we should not be blamed for the world's problems.

No. "5) Attacked Iraq for no reason in any respect. Killed a million,033,000 human beings in Iraq (Opinion study organisation survey from London)." This basically isn't actual. modern terrorism exists by using fact Islamic extremism exists. america of a suffered a awful act of terrorism and waged a conflict on terrorism. on the time the two foremost terrorist havens have been Iraq and Afganistan. i are not getting why all of us is so sympathetic in the direction of those center eastern maniacs who're bombing harmless civilians consistently.

Some are taught, but they majority of these events are masked or rewritten in history books, or blatantly skipped.

No I cannot list them all; however the government (AKA: public) schools focus on the atrocities more today, than on the benefits and good things, in this P.C and Brave New World!

what you call atrocities some people would call patriotic..thank a vet for a freedom you have today...we have all done things in our lives we regretted..lost our temper at our parents who were only trying to help us..??or got into a fight with a friend over a misunderstanding?
countries do this all the time to other countries..its part of life...even in nature the different species fight each other and other species...survival of the fittest..
People like to quote Darwin..so this is basically his message..
The Strong will survive..survival of the fittest.
