XFX, BFG, eVGA, Palit, Gecube, Gainward, etc. are just like Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer of PCs. The video card makers/marketers put some variation to the Nvidia reference design. They could vary the core clock, the memory clock and size and also the cooling system. For high end cards, they also come up with varying bundles; part of the marketing game.

XFX, BFG are just the names given by different companies. They are just nVIDIA cards. GTS & GTX are different type of cards. GTX are of higher graphic quality than GTS.

Many of the names are just that names. Some of them have larger memory area and can perform faster or process information faster but that's really all that's different. At least that's the way I understood it. I have the Nvidia 8800Gts installed on one of my desktops and it just cooks. When I bought it it seemed like it was perfect for my application, not too slow but not overkill either.

Hope it helps
