ok, heres the deal my boyfriend and i were fixing to get married but he had a addiction to pain pills, so we talked with our pastor and got him into counseling and we set the date for our wedding, well his counsler[ whom is married] started calling at all hours of the day and nite, i told him that she should not be calling him that i didn,t think that was right, he said oh, her husband is abusive to her and she needs someone to talk to,well then she leaves on the answering machine that she wants him to eat her, well i confronted her and she threatened to kill me, then i found out they were meeting at the holiday inn, we go shopping for rings then he spends the nite with her at the motel, when i discovered the affair i reported her, then alot of other patients came forth that she was sleeping with them as well, how can someone remain netural as a counsler when they are sleeping with their patients, and the state of ga. done absoluteley nothing !

Not all therapists are healthy themselves! Even THEY get attached and attracted to patients. In fact my mother is a therapist and she is the most f*cked up person I know~ she would never do THIS to a patient, she is a good therapist, but her personal life is a mess. Granted her personal life can be whatever she wants it to be, as long as it is separate from her professional one. Sounds like you did the right thing by reporting her, meanwhile your man is SPINELESS. You should not be marrying a guy who can't keep his d*ck in his pants especially after ring shopping. Have respect for yourself and MOVE on, good luck.

The question isn't whether it's okay for your husband to sleep with his counselor! The question is whether or not it's okay for you to be cheated on, have your life threatened, and then have Georgia not strip this woman ofher license!
The answer to all of these is, "No f'ing way, it's not okay!" I hope that you left the jerk, and I wish you some better self-esteem in the future. If the State of Georgia won't do anything, try reporting her to the Feds. They probably won't listen, either, but at least you're doing your job as a citizen.

This goes entirely against the counselor / patient code of conduct, not that this is the first case. She must be registered with a board to be a certified councelor. If he files a complaint with the board and even persuade others to do the same, he could have her licence revoked. A lawsuit is also possible with the right private representation (lawyer), but the ball is in his court, not yours. Sorry, and good luck.

She can't reman neutral, and you have done the right thing.
This is part of why I promote the use of psycologists so much more than counslers. There are some amazing counslers out there but the sad truth is that any wingbat can get that level of qualification too.

She has acted in a very un professional manner and should be reported. Try contacting the Georgia state Dept. of Human Resources. I believe they have regulatory authority and can take your complaint. Good Luck...And don't marry some guy who sleeps with his counselor!

Hi Jazz, To be honest it does take 2 to have an affair. Yes she needs to be run out of her business and not be aloud to pratice anywhere in the states. The state of Ga should had pull her license to pratice and run her out of town. If i were you i would drop Romeo and find someone who respects you and cares about your feeling and you.
A Friend.

Did you report her to the top people of the medical association of your country, because what she is doing is very wrong and something should be done to stop her. Another way of getting this noticed and maybe something done about it, is to go to the media.

id love to have a therapist that wanted to give me that extra special help--i dont think it wrong but probably a little unethical--there is nothing aginst the law for two consenting adults to have sex together weather they are married or not
