I learnt somewhere that he was shocked by the distructive use of dynamite and decided to donate all the money he earned from this invention for betterment of humanity.
the result was Nobel Prize.

That Prize dude, Nobel. He created the mixture of chemicals that gave the world TNT. A relative of his, I think it was his younger brother but am not sure, was killed when Nobel left him to work in the lab. The guilt that he felt at letting his somewhat inexperienced relative work unsupervised caused Nobel to go on and found the organization which awards the Nobel Prizes every year.
