i am most pround of my parents of how no matter how rough things got they stuck it out and did a fine job raising me, they were never rich with money but over flowing with love and caring.

well, i've never really had an experience to be proud of. and coming from australia, a country that has been one of the most racist countries in the past, i can't really say there's anyone i'm proud of other than my grandmothers. they are one of a kind. they have suffered so much in their life battling through diabetes and cancer, as well as numerous other conditions, and they have never put themselves above anyone else. they are always looking out for others, even though they may be strangers. they welcome people with open arms. sure, they have their weaknesses, but so does everyone else. they are people who i love and adore unconditionally. if they werent my grandparents, i'd still feel the same way about them. i find myself to be the lucky one in having them being a part of my life.

I am proud of my Father...a three-time vet of Vietnam...I am proud of my Mother, who grew up in post-war Germany and now has a master's degree in English and teaches at college.
I am also proud of our military....
Each and every one of our soldiers deserve our thanks and support despite any political view one may have on this war. I am proud of Tillman's mates for speaking up...and just as proud of Jessica Lynch for the same reason.
I am also proud of our press.....that might surprise some folks because they are taking such a beating of late, but these guys really make a difference.
I am proud of Edward R. Murrow.....he stood up to McCarthy so eloquently...and gave others the courage to do the same. Despite our collective "hysteria" over communism...he stuck his neck out ..laid it on the chopping block..."Here I am.. this is what I think..come get me...by the way...here is my address...

I am really proud of my country's civilians. I am proud of my fellowmen because people in Canada are really nice and have made many contributions in 3rd world countries and we also have a lot of NGOs here. People in Canada are generally nice and we aim at societal wellness which is the best thing about the people here.
