I tell you there seems to be no real rhyme or reason for why things get pulled or stay up. I had somebody put a really nasty comment on one of my questions and nothing got done about it. It is entirely random.

they have "updated". which basically means they unleash their trolls and reporters to scan our posts and harass us or "gather info". this "update" has been under way for the last few days and the last few days almost everyone i know has had at least one of their questions or answers removed. myself included. the funniest part is this...

this was pulled directly off the statement Y! left in regards to the new do's and dont's from their "update":

"This section was meant to set the tone for the community. It's not an exhaustive list by design, because we believe such a list creates a need to follow rules by the letter of the law, and not the spirit of the law. In general, if you are not committing crimes, cheating, or being obscene on Answers, you are ok."

the entire statement is such BS, but the last sentence in particular is so offensive that IT should be reported! personally, i have spent a lot of time and energy with this site and met some amazing people here. and though i am at level 5, if my last two profiles hadn't been deleted (for bogus violations) i would probably be at 6 or 7 by now. but although i have invested this much time with Answers, i hold no loyalty or obligation to Y! i am no sheep, i do not follow their herd. please, if you haven't already, join us! make your voice count!

Very bogus! I posted a statement about reaching Level 3 the other day and the same thing happened. I'm a newbie but I hear Y!A is getting a lot stricter these days in order to keep out the riff raff. I was hurt at first but got over it. Y!A and I are buds again. :)

Wow, I didn't know you could get a violation for that. I posted one when I reached level 6. Last night I answered a couple for people on level 4.

Well, don't let it spoil your good mood. Congratulations!

My question is, why would you want to ask a question right after you get to level 5?
You do understand that asking a question subtracts 5 points, right?

I'm inclined to agree with Lt. Dan, that it's random. I have a few theories about crankiness and low blood sugar due to delayed breaks, but would need an insider to confirm the theory. :-)

we've all fallen victim 2 it.
