Just wondering, I have heard of people who were 25 and virgins on their wedding night, and girls who had multiple partners by the age of 14.

I am 25 and a virgin. I do not believe God meant sex to be outside of marriage. I don't care, because I know God will bless me for it. Sex at 14 is ridiculous. Many people that young probably aren't as educated as they should be about sex. It's sad, because they can get pregnant or get a sexually transmitted disease. Many of the people I know regret having sex so young, because now they have kids and no father to help them or they couldn't go to college. I also feel like I should save myself for the person that was meant for me. How special will that make someone feel when they know you waited just for them.

I can well believe that some girls have lost their virginity at 14!!! I have been asked by girls that age repeatedly!!! Obviously that is NOT appropriate and I have said so. I am a man of 33 and I have still not lost my virginity, but I wish I had gone to a mixed school and lost it at 14 or 15 now. It would have been great for my health etc. The trouble with young people starting sex at 14 is that the circumstances of it are often not right, girls that age who have asked me ask me in the most disgusting manner you can think of and amongst themselves kids having sex behave like animals. In those circumstances I am not surprised that some kids later regret it. The trouble is that sex at 14 or 15 being disapproved of, there is a taboo to it and no parental or teacher - youth leader supervision of kids doing it and so left without adult supervision they revert to the wild.

A lady I know lost her virginity to her husband only after the wedding at the age of forty three. I myself was twenty something.
