The DS is only capable of wireless multiplayer. GBA games are only capable of GBA-link multiplayer. If you have a multiplayer GBA game, you will not be able to access the multiplayer functions on any DS. They will only work on a GBA or GBA SP. With the wireless DS functionality, they are capable of communicating directly with each other if they are nearby, or certain games are designed to accomodate wireless play over the internet as long as you have a wireless connection available. These can include local hotspots (like McDonald's offers), Nintendo Wi-Fi adapters (small USB devices designed to work specifically with the DS), or a home wireless router. As a word of caution, I found out that I wouldn't be able to connect through our wireless-G gateway without reducing the wireless connection to wireless-B speeds. Doing this would have made the wireless connection pretty much worthless for surfing the internet on my laptop computer, so I just bought a Ni-Wi-Fi adapter.

i think the gba is the way to go. i dont think you can wireless connect those games, since they can only wirelessly connect using the wireless adapter of the gba. get the gbas ands the gba cables or wireless adapters.
