Definitely!! Without my fluff I'd go crazy! (Rabbit) If there was someone who wanted to hurt him, I'd bonk him over the head with a metal pole. It serves animal haters right. Also, if anyone would like to hurt my cats, I'd go nuts. They are used to meowing when there's a robber near (I'm not kidding) and have saved my neighbor from getting robbed. They scared off the thief by scratching his face to bits. I don't know why they did it, but they protected us. I would do the same for them. Pets aren't just animals, just like the first answerer said, they're FAMILY. I would risk my life without a second thought to protect my pets!

With out a doubt, yes. I have even planned out what I would do if I had to evacuate *living in hurricane area* and how I could fit cat crates and dogs into the car and have it all at easy access..ya never know.
The times I have really thought about losing my pets it just breaks my heart. I would rather suffer broken bones, burns, etc than be unscathed and without my babies.
