the cable box. i lived without cable tv for five or six years because it seemed like a huge waste of money. i finally broke down and got it after i got a better paying job and now i am hooked on it.

My laptop computer - coz it has "Volume Control" button - something I wish my kids had (especially when i have a headache or am trying to watch my fav. show on TV)!
