It's a chair used to facilitate mobility. I've never heard any of my patients refer to their wheelchairs as furniture. Some refer to their chair as "their mode of transportation" or "their appliance". I think that it would be a stretch to call a wheelchair furniture. There is what's called "wheelchair-accessible furniture", like desks and worktables.

No its not a furniture, its a chair with wheels attached to it so that handicapped or old people who cant talk can be able to move around sitting on that... there are different types of wheelchairs though.. some are automatic, manual, folding ones quite a lot

i'd. i actually liked Christopher Reeve. I accompanied his profession and many times needed i'd desire to fulfill him. no longer for love or something yet simply by fact i presumed he replaced into appealing, form, sensible, and somebody i'd desire to have enjoyed to have called a pal. besides the indisputable fact that, if via accident i'd have had a romantic involvement with him i'd have carried out the comparable difficulty his spouse did. i'd have been easy, loving, worrying and stood via his edge until eventually dying purely like she did. i'd particularly date a large guy in a wheelchair that liked me, respected me, had the comparable morals I did and needed the comparable issues in life as I do then somebody that would desire to stroll yet replaced right into a jerk , selfish, boastful, advise and abusive. we can't help who we fall in love with. If something have been to place my husband in a wheelchair this is not important to me. he's all i want. simply by fact he has each and all of the sturdy characteristics that i needed in a guy. i'm an rather fortunate woman.

This is from Dictionary.com:
Furniture:
1. the movable articles, as tables, chairs, desks or cabinets, required for use or ornament in a house, office, or the like.
2. fittings, apparatus, or necessary accessories for something.
3. equipment for streets and other public areas, as lighting standards, signs, benches, or litter bins.
According to this definition, a wheelchair IS furniture, since its a movable chair required for use in a house, office, or the like. It's also a necessary accessory for something

They don't sell them at furniture stores so I'd say not. Is a wheelchair any more of a piece of furniture than a cane or a neckbrace?

A wheelchair is a combination of legs, a car, and a bike. I would never call it furniture, and none of my clients who use them think of them as furniture.
