The fact that you need to ask if there is something wrong with you means you need to see a professional to assess if you really do have a problem.
DO you have any other signs of OCD? Compulsive hand washing, checking and rechecking locks even when you KNOW they are locked, counting irrelevant things like how many times you move the scraper to peel a carrot, lining things up in absolutely straight rows according to color, size, and imagined features. THOSE are some symptoms of real OCD.
I would say you are unusually PRE-OCCUPIED with this "hobby," but unless you're keeping some thing from us in your post, you don't sound like any thing is wrong.
Maybe you could develop another area of interest to keep from dwelling on b-days.

No, I don't think you have OCD.
Unless your birthday curiosities are really getting in the way of a normal life, then I see no reason to see a doctor about this.

Yes, there is something starting to go wrong with you. You have "birthday categoritis." It's not uncommon but is the first sign to being overly anxious and neurotic. It's easily treatable if caught in time.

it is called "rejection fear"...
i do the same thing... not as a maniac but if i happen to knwo their b-day then i would see their horoscope and see how compatible i am with them.... however..... i use that knowledge just to have a slight idea but never ever base your thoughts by anything else but self experience.........well, most of the time :P....
also, you may do it because you are afraid of being rejected, which is very common among young people....... (not saying you are young).....bit do not worry, it is nothing serious unless you make it serious by taking horoscope reading too serious...
hope i helped

The truth is, everyone has some sort of symptom of OCD, like alphebetizing your cd's or tapping your toothbrush seven times. It's nothing to be worried about
