Does it matter what side your monroe piercing goes on?

Question

The left or the right? I'm getting my lip pierced on my left side, and I want to get a monroe when I'm older so to make it look better, I'd even it out by having the monroe on the right, but most people I know that have a monroe have it on their left side. (But I really want to have my lip piercing on the let side, I don't want to change my mind about that).

So, does it matter what side the monroe piercing is on?

it doesn't matter what side you have it on as long as your happy with it. if you look at Marilyn Monroe's pictures her mole switches sides lol. we weren't sure if someone just mirrored her image or what. so when ever people come into our shop to get a monroe we just tell them to get what they feel would be their best side.

Put that piercing wherever you like it best. I had my eyebrow, nose and lip pierced on the same side...some folks thought it was unbalanced looking but I liked it and did get compliments from a few people.

It's the same thing as how back in the 70's and 80's if a man had a certain side pierced it was like a banner stating whether or not they were gay. Now it doesn't matter and lots of guys have both ears pierced.

Go with whatever looks best on you and what you prefer. You're the one that has to wear it, put it where you want it and screw the protocol. It's always better to be a trend setter than a trend follower!

I think your thinking way too much about it. Just do it, who cares what side its on, as long as you like it.

no, it doesn`t matter which side u get it on...just put it on the side u think will look best...i have mine on the right side...
