I'm not a classic liberal nor a socialist, but I oppose the current administration so I'll answer.

1. More than you do (and my wife doesn't work)..
2. Still more than you do.
3. Yep.
4. Saturn VUE Hyrbrid.

I won't give specific numbers or a specific percent on the income index, but I'm in the top 10%-15% wage wise.

I'm not sure what you're point is. Are you trying to imply that only poor people want socialism?

Let me paint a scenario for you. The income gap has become huge. The poor class is growing while more and more of the wealth gets concentrated into the hands of the few.

This is very bad for social stability. Refer to the French Revolution to see what happens when enough poor people decide they've had enough.

Seriously, something needs to be done to help even out the wealth a bit. Perhaps taking the half-trillion dollars dumped into the black-hole called Iraq could help get more of the population skilled and educated.

If you want answers that you can generalize to a majority of "liberals" or "socialists," you need to look at surveys conducted by research institutes, like the Pew Research Center^1. If you base generalizations on Yahoo answers, then you're not a critical thinker. The fact that you post such questions indicates that you don't really care about scientific evidence; you're just looking for anything you can use to confirm your own biases^2. When's the last time you've read/heard about liberals or socialists from self-identified liberals or socialists, rather than from conservatives? Do you tend to read articles that are mostly commentary or anecdotal, with little/no reference to scientific research? When's the last time you read a detailed description of a scientific study so that you could evaluate the validity and reliability of the researchers' conclusions for yourself^3?

I am financially very comfortable and politically liberal.
If you want to know how a persons income relates to their political views, there has been several studies done on the subject. The findings were that In California and the Northeast the is no correlation but in the South richer people are more Conservative and the poorer more liberal. This is a change from 40 yeas ago when conservatives far out numbered liberals among the well off in all sections of the country.

Uh Im not a liberal but since I differ with the far right on some issues I'll answer. Last year I worked for Fex Ex Ground as a package handler overnight. I was semi skilled in that I used heavy equipment in the course of my work. For the year I made a whopping 10K, YES 10K FOR THE YEAR WITH OVERNIGHT DIFFERENTIAL. I dont have bills I live on the streets for the most part and I spend maybe 100 dollars a week on food. I do own a motor vehicle, it is a 99 Dodge Caravan FWD.

1) Right now I make below the poverty line (not my bf whom I live with though), but I'm about to graduate and my new job pays 50-60k/year
2) Not much, but that will change in 2 months
3) No, will be buying next year (my credit is great)
4) Yes, honda civic, payed off.

5) I don't have health insurance and it pisses me off.
6) I won't forget what it is like to live like I do now, even when I am living much more comfortably...I know lots of people who are not lazy and do work hard and shouldn't be punished because they aren't rich. It's been a hard road for me, and I have had advantages that many do not.
7) I think the main problem with social services is illegal immigration and I strongly want that stopped! (Ron Paul is the only Republican strong on illegal immigration, unfortunately, I doubt he will go far)

Why is this a question for liberals and socialists, income is not partisan. We view things the way we do because we are open minded not because we make more or less money or what kind of car we drive. I served my time in Iraq and I am a liberal, does that make me less American than you? Have you served your time, I know the Repub's in office sure haven't, look up the stat's.

Why is it that if you are a Democrat, you are living poorly. I have a Bachelor's Degree and working on my Master's Degree. I make money and pay taxes.

It's funny that my more of my taxes go to Corporate Welfare than to people who need it. Go into the internet you are using and check the facts.

You are talking about money. How come you aren't pissed that Billions and Billions of dollars are going to a war and YOUR PRESIDENT changes his reasons and agenda one week to the next? How come they don't know where the MISSING MONEY is, which happens to be YOUR TAX MONEY?
