We all have a mental image of what we look like and when we look in the mirror without mentally preparing ourselves witht that image in mind we are startled by the what we actually do see.

Sounds like a normal man. Don't change your appearance so much and it'll be easier. I've had the same haircut for around 30 years. If I forget everything else, I still know my hair....as long as I have it.
James 1:23-24
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

me too! but i hit my head recently, so it might be something different. lol, and i eat way more gummy-bear vitamins than i should, so that may affect me.. hm.. anyway, sometimes, i wonder what i look like, and i think of my siblings and try to figure out what i look like, but in the end, i have to look in the mirror to finally remember. its odd... whew! at least i'm not the only person who has this problem!

seriously, maybe you need to see a doctor. It could be a sign of early alzheimers disease. I know what i look like. The memory will never let go of that image. It's not a good sight, either. LOL.

hmm doesn't sound like prosopagnosia, which is a cognitive neural disorder in which you cannot recognize faces (because you are simply just talking about yourself) It could be some sort of defense mechanism brought about by body image issues.... just hypothesizing, and of course, I do not know you, and I don't know your history, so a guess really isn't even warranted.

That's when your intelligence kicks in because you are not this body, IE Face, race, color, nationally, religion, mind, senses, job, etc. We are eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We never die, only the body dies. for more info on the soul go to harekrishnatemple.co Read Bhagavad Gita As it is BY Bhaktivedanta Prabhpada- tells the purpose of human life and who we are in actuality.

Maybe you are so spiritual that you are living more in your soul than in your body.
