I am just wondering, my parent's were Democrats and I was a Republican but just lost complete faith in the Party so I went Independent although I support the Democratic agenda sometimes it seems to go too far but lately they kind of seem the same to me.

When I first became register to vote I was in my early 20' I was asked if I wanted to register as a Demarcate or Republican. I decided that, Republican sounded strong, so I became a member of the GOP. And I promptly voted for Tricky Dickie. Then a few years later I realize I was the working poor so I changed to a Dem. And once again I voted my party and voted for Jimmy Carter. After awhile I realized I was a two time loser, so instead if voting for Carter again , I voted for the third party candidate John Anderson. I keep voting for the Dem's and they kept losing, which was okay because after Nixon and Carter I didn't even trust my own judgment. I was not trilled to vote for Bill Clinton but I held my nose and voted for his twice. And the truth be told I have never regretted those two votes. What Clinton lacked as husband he make up with his intelligence. Unlike the current war mongering, half wit we now have. After Clinton I was back on my losing streak. Now I am no longer a Dem or rep. After 911, watching Bush turn the Dem's into his laps dogs because they were not man or women to stand up to him, and voted him powers, that really made him more a dictator than president. The Dem's have sold out this country because they put their career ahead of the what is good for our country. So I am no longer a member if either party.

Well, who is running up 3 1/2 TRILLION in additional debt, attacked a country that weren't terrorist's or had anything to do with 9/11. Pass things like the "Patriot Act" that the FBI got caught violating and the Military Commissions Act of 2006 which can take many of your liberties away, like habeas corpus!
Who gives tax cuts to the rich which was stolen from the poor hoping that some will trickle down to the ones they stole it from? Voodoo Economics doesn't work! Ask Reagan and David Stockman!
In the meantime Bush is cutting VA hospitals by 100 BILLION while their Iraqi veteran caseload now stands at 105,000! That's right! 105,000!
You think there isn't any difference? Where have you been for 7 years?
The main difference between a Democrat and a Republican is one is willing to share the wealth, not keep it like the to 1/2 percent who own America! You are 2 paychecks from poverty!

I refuse to answer on the grounds that the Dems may keep control of Congress, with a Dem in the White House someday and they will come looking for me and my guns.

The political parties in this country have gained way too much power, and their members blindly follow them, having no thoughts of their own. They are all brainwashed automatons with no direction that their chosen party doesn't dictate.

I'm actually independent. I've never registered for a party.
But Republicans are the only real men left with any backbone. Democrats are a joke.

I am neither Democrat or Republican. I do however tend to agree with Republicans more.
