That is impossible to say. Each person's visual ability is a little different. A definite number would not be appropriate for everyone. As mentioned, the phase of the moon would be a factor as would weather patterns. Fire and volcanic activity would also be a factor.

GOOD QUESTION go to the top of a high mountain at about four o'clock in the morning look up (pick a moon less night the bigest night light in the sky). mavel at the view

You can see the moon very clearly. If it is a new moon day, you can watch all stars and lot of meteors, entering to Earths atmosphere. But if it is on a full moon day, you can not enjoy the beauty of universe, up to your satisfaction.

Wow! that's a really good question! It'd be the best romantic night ever! just thinking about it, makes you think of what god created and how beautiful it would be to share a night like that with your partner! i say a Sh*t load, hehe. but think about the moon, also, and how bright and beautiful it'd be.

Have you ever lived in a rural area? It gets pretty dark where I live and even darker where I go on vacation. It depends on where you are.
