There are over the counter medications at the drug store. Look in the same aisle as tampons.

You definitely need to see a doctor and have it diagnosed. The doctor will make sure that it is a yeast infection and either have you get something over the counter or prescribe you a medication, but you definitely cannot diagnose yourself. It may not be a yeast infection and if it is something else the yeast infection cream may mask the symptoms without curing it.

Women go to doctors for these kinds of problems everyday, there is nothing to be embarrassed about, it's a part of life and part of being a woman. If you don't feel comfortable talking to your parents about it and you don't want to go alone, take a close friend or someone you trust, but definitely go see a doctor!!!!

It's not your job to diagnose yourself or anyone else. It's up to a doctor. But that doctor doesn't have to be a GYN - your family doctor can do this very easily and very well. You can also go to a sexual health clinic.

You need to find out if this is a yeast infection or some other problem, and you need to find out now. Waiting is not only no fun, but it's also an invitation to damage or possibly destroy your future fertility. Do not go fooling around with home remedies, particularly when you don't know what the problem is.

Further, a doctor, any doctor, is a professional who has seen thousands if not tens of thousands of women's genitalia. It's their job to look. It's your job to allow them to do so, and it can save your life.

I'm giving you some links to help you understand all of this, and understand what will happen when you see your doctor. YOU MUST SEE A DOCTOR.

Hi you can purchase yeast infection medication (over the counter) so just at the drug store & it costs about $20 or so with tax.

If you want it to go away for good, get a 3-5 day one & insert the "pill" you'll see, at night vs. the day with a maxi pad.

To keep them away, but it won't help once you have one, try eating live culture yogurt about 1/4 cup a day. Activia is a new product that is out now.

Drs. understand your embarassment.
Your family Dr can help you. Ask to speak with the Dr alone (without your mom) A nurse will come in and be with you, too.
Tell them about your itching and any odor or colored discharge that gets on your panties. The Dr. will tell you which medication to purchase and how to use it. Make sure you follow the directions and use the whole thing.

What you have may be different from what you suspect. The safest thing you can do is to be treated.
