What in the hell is that supposed to mean? Of course he can sign it. It takes a total ignoramus to say he can't sign it.

Bush refuses to sign it because he doesn't give a crap about the troops.

You are absolutely right. The funding bill will be up to him he can fund the troops as Congress decided to do or not. The OPEN ENDED time table is one he proposed as a reasonable timetable to begin a phased exit from Iraq. Some of the "pork" would give money to veterans hospitals. It simply doesn't make sense for Bush not to sign it.

Sir you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Do you actually know what the Democrats are proposing? They want the soldiers out of there so that President Bush's plan cannot possibly succeed. They do however want to leave a "small security force" in place to "maintain order". This from the lips of Hillary Connors, Democratic Strategist to the Middle East. Think about it for a moment. Would you like to be a soldier the "small security force"? I thought not. It is the Democrats that do not care about the soldiers. I was a soldier in Vietnam and this same dam* thing happened with the Dems; they cost us 5 extra years and 30,000 lives. I pray to God that you folks start listening to what is going on. Nobody wants us over there but we are there and we need to fix things before we leave or millions will be massacred, just like in Vietnam.

the Shrub has delusions of grandeur, and cannot admit that he is wrong, and he's playing party politics, to boot! The fact is, he and his cronies have already made a fortune off the "war", but now he is in too deep, and his ego will not allow him to say this isn't working as foreign policy!

This is a case of "can" and "will". It's like saying, "Can I go to the store?", and Mother answering, "you CAN, but you WILL not!" Remember that, from 1st. grade??????

Doesn't matter. A house divided...takes turns doing itself and its representatives in.

His responsibility to his post prevents him from signing a bill designed to undermine the nation.

So true. The deadline in the bill is NON-BINDING. He doesn't even have to follow it.
Bush is just a creep.
