In the instruction manual, it shows a menu on the start screen that says _Migrate Pokemon from _____. How do I get this menu?

Edit - Well, since nobody felt like answering truthfully, I eventuallf found the answer myself. You have to get the national pokedex first = )

get the sinnoh national pokedex then you will be able to migrate them to pal park which is where you will need to catch them

You don't need any kind of adapter. All you need is an actual copy of a GBA Pokémon game inserted into the GBA slot on your DS. You should be able to figure out the rest from there.
