i've read that peanut butter can be turned into diamonds by pressure cooking it in extreme heat. if this is the case, is it easy to do, and if so, why would people still today buy diamonds for thousands of dollars when they can make their own by using peanut butter which is $5.00?

The best way to do that is to find a boy who enjoys good cooking and make him PB&J, Or peanut butter cookies and pies and maybe you will get engaged and hopefully he buys you a ring.

Other than than that, it becomes a matter of how the electrons are attached to the neculus and their state of being free or not free. A dimond is not generally the standard apperance of Carbon. Basically Carbon needs to be transformed to this other state. Heat and pressure are generally the causes. Most likely volcanos but, there could be other causes - subduction, earthquakes, etc. .

Very sorry, a diamond is nothing but carbon, or coal. Due to extreme pressure inside the Earth, their atomic structure is changed, and forms as a raw diamond, which has to be excavated, cut and polished later.

Artificially it is being manufactured, but not in a cooker. More over peanut butter, does not contain Carbon. It has only fats and unsaturated fatty acids.

Not practical with that method, you would need to reach temperatures on the order of a nuclear blast. However, alchemists of ancient times were able to turn water into gold. That shouldn't be terribly difficult at all using what is known as the sacred fire. This is a forcefield that is healing, transmutating, and intelligent. People are already beginning to use this now.

Wherever you heard that is wack!! Diamonds are made from compressed CARBON not PB!! And even if they were made from PEANUT BUTTER you would need about 100 million pounds of pressure or rock to compress it under, over century's.. so good luck with that one.

Why would people still buy diamonds and not peanut butter? BECAUSE ITS NOT TRUE!

Why dont people buy the things from infomercials that say "rich in 10 days" (or anything else dumb) BECAUSE ITS NOT TRUE!

If it were...everyone would do it!

You're paying too much for peanut butter. :)

Hmmmm... I would say, this is an urban legend my dear. Try submitting it to myth busters.
